Biography

Ashutosh Bhardwaj was born in 1981 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.  He was educated at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda where he received his B.F.A. in 2002 and his M.F.A. in 2004.  His awards include a ‘Peer 04’ Residency at Khoj, New Delhi, India (2004), the Nasreen Mohammedi Award from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (2004), a Junior Research Fellowship from the Government of India (2005), and an Artist Residency at The Guild Art Gallery in Mumbai, India (2009).  Bhardwaj has exhibited throughout the Indian sub-continent as well as in New York, Seoul, and Milan.  He lives and works in Vadodara (formerly Baroda), India.
